I am thankful that I have a family. A big family. That’s cares about me and loves me. Brothers who will go to the ends of the world for me. Parents who have such an unconditional love for me. In-laws that adore me. A beautiful nephew who makes my heart sing. I am thankful that I have a wonderful husband that is in love with me. He is so patient, so kind, so generous and passionate about our marriage. He is committed to our family and our extended family, he loves my family like his own.  He is the head of our household . He is hardworking and humble. I am most thankful that I get to spend the rest of my life with him. I am thankful that I have friends that make me laugh. They are always ready to listen. They let me be me. I can count on them. They build my character. They support me. I am thankful that I don’t have many, but I have enough.

I am thankful that I have started to pursue my passions, and that I now have the strength to make decisions for ME. That I am able to proclaim to the world what I enjoy and what makes me happy (and not feel guilty). I am thankful that I am now on the journey to fulfilling my destiny and dreams. I am thankful for my given talents, which remind me of his love for me, and that he always has my back.

I am also thankful for my LBD (also for the tape that’s holding my lady lumps in place!) I won’t go on too much about how we all love, need and appreciate our LBDs, instead, today I would like to pay homage to my KBH (killer black heels). KBHs, you are always there for me when I need you, morning meetings, evening drinks, dinner with the girls, and church on Sunday. I can always rely on you. You are my ride or die. My day ones… Ok you get the point… Invest in a pair of KBHs!!

This LBD is from Bardot. Any thoughts on the cape? I don’t mind it. Especially in our never ending Melbourne winter. It also balances out all the sexy happening in the frontal area. The KBH…Somewhere in China. Online. I don’t discriminate.

Tapi’s look. It’s all about the blazer. We spent about an hour in Jack London arguing whether to get that blazer or not. I felt it was “too much”, he decided he wouldn’t leave the store without it. I really wanted to go home. So he won. He also has a good eye for accessories. Most of the accessories I wear are actually his. The Lapel pin and socks are part of his own collection of accessories which he has been working on called Mr. Ash. (Website coming soon).

When I sat down to list all that I am thankful for, I found that my perspective of life changed. I encourage you to do the same, especially when you’re having a tough day. Trust me. It works.

“In Ann Voskamp’s One Thousand Gifts she identified the common language of women and how Paul (Philippians 4:11-12) reveals the secret to living a joyful life in Christ.
Ann’s words helped me identify where my struggle was coming from and also, how to combat it. (One Thousand Gifts, p. 46) “Long, I am woman who speaks but one language, the language of the fall–discontentment and self-condemnation, the critical eye and the never satisfied.”

The above paragraph is an extract from a blog I read over the weekend, that has helped me identify why I struggle to be thankful. After reading this post I just couldn’t stop being thankful, thank you. Love this post!!! 😃
Ps I tried to email you but it bounced back! You can email me on natassja87@gmail.com

Hi there!! This is so true. As woman we are so critical of ourselves and we struggle with self condemnation. It really hinders us from fulfilling the great plans God has for us. We need to remember that he loves us as we are, and we need to love ourselves as we . We need to give ourselves credit for how far we have come instead worrying so much about what happened in the past , or stressing about what the future Holds .

So I’m learning to be still and be thankful, and it will really make you appreciate YOU and life as it is.

PS. Thanks for the p.s … I got my IT straight onto it! ( Tapi lol, ) so it’s all fixed! Will email you today. X

Amen to all you said sweetheart! Amen! With all the busy-ness of life sometimes we forgot to just give thanks to God yet thank you is the password to enter into his presence (Psalm 100:4 – Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.)

As for the KBHs and LBDs, must have staples in every woman’s closet! Love Tapi’s look too, can’t wait for Mr. Ash to officially drop. Love you guys lots, and love seeing all you are doing. Xoxo

I love that scripture! Thank you! People have been telling me to do this , and it’s taken me a while to get on the bandwagon! But I tell you it makes such a big difference, just being thankful!
